I have been working at UTHealth full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great benefits- TRS retirement, great PTO, Sick leave, Personal leave. Great accommodations.

    Cons

Coders do not have the opportunity to work remotely.

    Advice to Management

Please follow the trend of the field, remote coding has more benefits for you than downfalls. I would be willing to take less sick time given to me, less personal days, etc. in exchange for a chance to work at home. However I do realize not all coders are fit to be trusted; I would say to base it on our attendance first and far most, followed by a close second to performance. Also it would not hurt to give it a trial run.

I have been working at UTHealth full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Amazing benefits, great resources for everything you could need to do your job, friendly people, and you get a subsidy to ride the rail and the bus.

    Cons

Communication is terrible between the management team and everyone else is awful. I've had to teach myself everything since nobody could be bothered to talk to me.
