    Negative Outlook

I worked at UW Health Partners Watertown Regional Medical Center full-time

    Pros

Good food in their restaurant, outstanding! Many very good people working at Watertown Regional Medical Center.

    Cons

Very sad to see this once beautiful community hospital change to a for-profit facility and buy out from LifePoint Health in Tennessee. Many disconnects between facilities, admin team, terrible benefits. All the good employees are leaving. It is hard to believe that what was once so good no longer exists. I am hoping that someday it will be nice again, until then I'm staying away from this facility and their clinics.

    Advice to Management

Stand up for the employees. Quit being afraid of LifePoint. Get real, you are tanking in service.

    Neutral Outlook

    Pros

Most of the staff is very compassionate about their work.
    Adequately staffed.
    Positive work environment.
Well established and thorough orientation process for new nursing staff.

    Cons

High rate of turnover in management; seem disconnected or out of touch with staff in some departments in the hospital.
There is not enough focus on continuing education.

    Positive Outlook

I have been working at UW Health Partners Watertown Regional Medical Center full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good benefits, salary, and culture, community hospital is focused on the patient care and making industry leading changes.

    Cons

In the process of going through a number of changes which is hard on long term staff. Like any health care facility there are a lot of changes with the new laws which can create frustrations.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the amazing work, the changes coming are going to benefit the patients and make the hospital stand out in the area as a place to go. I've enjoyed being part of the process.
