I have been working at UW-Parkside part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I've worked for the library part-time for 5 years as a student worker. It's like a little family almost. Great coworkers, great supervisors, even great patrons. Extremely professional. Actually care about their employees a great deal.

    Cons

if you are a part-time student worker, there isn't much room for advancement.

I have been working at UW-Parkside full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Students among the best. Most really know why they are there

    Cons

Sometimes lazy admin team that can't believe their good fortune to be there and muddle through everything internally while spending most of public resources and time managing external optics with little substance and marginal innovation and few in faculty are really engaged by anymore. Tired of the blame and starts with the top. Debbie Ford you really don't know much about business....sorry just admit it and learn and reflect rather than blame and lash out and take to heart why Wright State fell through.. Never been a Vin Diesel fan but since spending 8 years in the wheelhouse of Princess Vin Dictive most other places look very good. The worst character in cabinet slimy towny Johnny J... Makes Trump look like a legit candidate for priesthood

    Advice to Management

Some need to just settle and move on. Egos strangling the place Killing those genuine about the future of the school. There are truly some in senior positions
