    Pros

You can make a difference at an institution this size. It is transformative for many students.

    Cons

There are negatives at any place. The vast majority of the employees are friendly, dedicated bunch with a few odd ducks.

    Cons

    Honestly just the pay sucks.

I have been working at UW-Parkside part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Wonderful supervisor! It's a pretty easy job with minimal pay but it's a great resume builder. Boss is very patient and flexible with our school schedule.

    Cons

The pay sucks but it is too be expected because the job consists of sitting around with little to do.

I have been working at UW-Parkside part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Its a relaxed enviornment since we are all student workers. The shifts are short usually less than 6 hours giving us more time to concentrate on our school work.

    Cons

The pay is low and sitting around sometimes gets a little boring but it could be worse.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook

    I worked at UW-Parkside full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great insurance benefits. Great pension as well as additional retirement options.

    Cons

Low pay and little opportunity for advancement. Lack of support from upper management.

    Advice to Management

Management needs to do a better job when it comes to promoting from within, addressing issues, and supporting their staff. Human resources is a joke and probably the worst that I've seen at any place of employment. There is also a complete lack of confidentiality.
