I have been working at UXC Eclipse full-time

    Pros

Small teams that communicate a lot.
    Easy access to all employees.
Really nice clients who love what we provide.

    Cons

Probably a lack of clear career paths.
Some concern over integration with BIG CSC will change the vibe.

I have been working at UXC Eclipse full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Company is growing, the team is growing, the projects are getting HUGE! All are very exciting and challenging at the same time. People are personable and good to work with. We still feel like a small company, even though we've been acquired by CSC.

    Cons

There is a lot of unknown to the future CSC integration efforts. Are we in or are we out?

    Advice to Management

I like the new changes in leadership in North America. We are taking risks and growing the business. We are managing the gray areas of the business well. Much improved over previous years!

I worked at UXC Eclipse full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Salary, bonuses, and benefits are consistent with industry standards

    Cons

Supported application with MS Dynamics integration that has outdated architecture
Many hours spent working to resolve technical issues often goes unrecognized or rewarded
Management focuses on short-term wins with little focus on long-term success
On-hire was promised training specific to their application but instead was given overviews along with application documentation that often times missed the details
Long time team members can be back-biting and unprofessional

I worked at UXC Eclipse full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Excellent bonus model. The company also lived up to their commitments on compensation. It is a fun place to work if you work in an office location. Young staff that is eager to work. 4 weeks vacation year one if you find time to take it

    Cons

Disorganized in Senior management. Their benefit package was weak compared to other competitors in IT integration industry. Generally understaffed on Projects, week project management. Very flat organization structure little room for advancement

    Advice to Management

Slow growth to a level that you can support without killing people

I have been working at UXC Eclipse full-time

    Pros

Excellent benefits, vacation time, maternity/paternity benefits
    Predictable work environment
Vast client base offers TONS of learning potential, especially for those early in their career

    Cons

Micromanagement, lack of creativity and risk taking by management
Long, hard hours often go unrecognized or rewarded
Focused on the short-term wins and not the long-term success
    Low salaries, high bonus potential

    Advice to Management

Please take the time to learn each of the divisions strengths/weaknesses and harbor an environment where each can grow. There is more to a business than numbers that are black and white - each has a grey area that is equally as important!

    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

Friendly environment with a majority of team members investing their heart and soul to success. Good market opportunities with the right strategy, good execution from AX Services and Global support. Good environment and support for remote employees.

    Cons

Management was inexperienced at large acquisition, assimilation was a challenge. High degrees of tension and cultural divide dismissed by management. Executives are primarily bosses, not leaders, and lack ability to drive employee success and mentor for growth. Many senior managers are box checkers and focus on their own preservation.

    Advice to Management

Focus on growth AND retention. Articulate strategies and recognize the geographic and consultative capabilities of the organization, rather than driving teams off the cliff knowing you can't support a customer or prospect. Get off the ego train and listen to your employees.

    Pros

The company is extremely service-oriented, both internally and externally. They recognize the value of appreciating employees, and that is clearly reflected through the career development opportunities, compensation and benefits, and work to life balance.

    Cons

It can be a long interview process, so be patient, it is worth it in the end.

I have been working at UXC Eclipse full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Started a few months ago with UXC Eclipse in their North American HQ in Bellevue. They are a company in transition from the Tectura purchase a few years back, but it appears they are settled and on their way forward as a organization with a North American presence.

They are a highly successful practice in the Microsoft Dynamics space but also have a bit more to offer software developers with the AES group, which helps diversify the business. There's more to offer developers and consultants from the tech industry who want to work outside of Dynamics.

Consulting companies can oftentimes have very poor work culture and values and have high degrees of burnout. UXC Eclipse seems intent on treating their people well and not falling in to that category. Flexible work arrangements, health benefits that are highly subsidized, and a more generous PTO accrual rate out of the gates (4 weeks, uncapped sick time, more than standard paid holidays) go a long way toward showing that it's not just the standard lip service all organizations have to pay this area. The leadership in the Bellevue office seems to embrace that ideal and makes an effort to get everyone together, do small events to keep everyone engaged in what is usually a more remote/detached industry. They try and lead the field here - perhaps a more Australian outlook on work/life balance plays in to that! They show you can be successful without inducing complete burnout on the workforce

The hiring process was smooth, even with some of the interviewing happening via video conference with the team in Australian HQ, and a bit of a tedious reference process. Everything was on time, process moved quickly and efficiently, and I always knew where I stood. No surprises, which is what you hope for.

    Cons

No major concerns (yet). Company HQ in Bellevue is being staffed up and standard corporate services will be more readily available to North American team. Environment is pretty quiet in corporate because consultants work on site and there are many remote employees, but if you want to work with a smaller team, it's a great place for that. More tight knit than the major corps in the region.

Joining a small company and a growing business is always a unique challenge, but they are invested in making it work and putting effort toward creating a strong company culture. It will take time, but the intentions are all right on.

The reasons I joined - work in smaller technical verticals, join a successful consulting/professional services practice, work for a company that values their people, get on board with a growing brand - have all held up.

    Advice to Management

Continue to acknowledge work culture differences and expectations between USA/CAN and AUS, and be open to making adjustments.

    Pros

Bonus's paid on time. Lunch for those that come to the office. Good amount of vacation time for those starting at the company. Company is getting a good reputation, particularly in the retail vertical.

    Cons

Management are not really managers. They are really just micro-managers/spreadsheet jockeys. Only looking 30 days ahead because if revenue falls falls in that time they get blasted by the CEO. If you can see that you have bench time coming up in the next 30 days you need to be wary of being let go.

    Advice to Management

Allow North American Management the ability to make decisions with out having to loop back to Australia.
