A fantastic place to work, despite the growing pains

      Pros

UiPath is VERY fast paced - every week brings new developments so you're never bored. The vast, vast majority of people I have worked with across many departments are extremely bright and dedicated, with a low a-hole factor. The perks and work environment are what you'd expect from a startup transitioning into a tech company - unlimited PTO, office snacks and beer, flexible work environment and hours (work from home), and things like 401k and health insurance keep improving as we get larger and become more of a "real company." The automation space is really exciting and legitimately feels important to be a part of. It will genuinely be hard to work at another slower/more restrictive company after working here.

      Cons

UiPath's speed in everything it does also causes its main cons. UiPath grew from a startup into a "real company" very, very fast and with it came some growing pains - mostly noticeable in the form of changes in senior management and overhiring leading to layoffs. None of these are bad in and of themselves, but given the speed that the company is growing, they felt a lot more problematic than they actually were - and they were communicated poorly internally and externally. Additionally, the pace of growth also means that you never really get a break handed to you - you have to carve out time for yourself and do your own time management and expectation management. If you want a leisurely, predictable working life, do not work here.

A company that keeps getting better and better!

      Pros

      - Breakfast & lunch provided daily, fully stocked kitchen with snacks, coffee, etc - Unlimited PTO, flexible working hours, remote work opportunities - Healthcare insurance, wellness program, equity package, commuter benefits UiPath is a place where you're not just identified by your employee number. It's a place where you're given the opportunity to try different things, work with new technologies and be recognized for your work ethic. I've been with the company for over a year, started when UiPath was still relatively small. As with any company that is expanding at such a fast pace, there have been some growing pains, but overall, my experience at UiPath has been great so far. I can't really imagine working anywhere else at this point in time. The CEO is an individual who is admirable, and very humble. For those of you reading this, I encourage you to explore the career opportunities that UiPath has to offer. It's a great time to climb on board the rocket ship!

      Cons

On a few occasions, there's been a lack of transparency within the company. Also, the NYC office is a bit crowded, but management has been working diligently to address this issue.

Customer Success at UiPath is the best career choice I have made

      Pros

Growing market with a strong product. Rated best product in the industry. World class customers. I work with different types of people across a multitude of high profile companies. My professional linked in contacts increasing ten fold. Flexible work with no face time. Work from home travel to customers and a great office environment. Office filled with perks like free food drinks. Always buzzing with cool people who have become friends. Moved to the new office on park avenue. People management processes and on-boarding experience has been best of my 3 companies. Well organized and great training sessions. Online training is amazing for a startup. Getting off to a good start very important. Chief customer success officer most inspiring leader. Even though he is an executive he understands details to really helps employee, talks to employees like an equal. Drives team hard but noone is afraid to make a mistake because he has our back. CEO talks about importance of people. Parties with the employees. He loves the company and asks a lot of questions when you get to spend time with him.

      Cons

Lots of noise in the office when on calls with team.

      Lucked into an amazing job

Mar 5, 2018 - Rpa Developer in New York, NY

      Pros

I completely lucked into finding this job. Was looking heavily at other opportunities in the NYC area when a recruiter pitched this job to me out of the blue. Said what the heck, took the preliminary test (which I actually had a lot of fun with, all logic problems and a couple coding), and ended up really liking the people I interviewed with. Everything just fell into place, and I couldn't be happier. This place is filled with the most hard-working, dedicated, extremely clever people I have ever met. It is a pleasure to work with them every day. Actual list of pros: - amazing and talented people - competitive pay and salary - opportunity to have a real impact on a young company - learn a really cool new technology - company-paid travel - very flexible working arrangements (WFH, actually unlimited days off, etc.)

      Cons

      - occasionally a lot of travel - very much a self-directed role, so if you need to be hand held through work you won't do well here.

      Rocket ship with some aliens

      Dec 11, 2018 - Sales
      Recommend
      CEO Approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

The atomic fuel of the rocket ship is powered by Incredible growth due to a great product High end company perks Flexible work arrangements supported by CEO People who are passionate about what they do when they come to work

      Cons

The rocket ship would be the place to be if leaders with alien values changed. Being humble does not exist for the sales management. The “know it all” culture and condescending conversations are tiresome. American HQ approach creating more politics.
