Best Place To Work. One Of A Kind Company
Nov 28, 2020 - Direct Response Copywriter in Houston, TXRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Great People: The management is writer-friendly and will help you settle in quickly. The staff are also so helpful and really want to see you grow within the company. Steady, unending flow of orders: Working with Ulistic has helped me stop wasting time finding new clients and instead focus on what I love doing: writing! Teamwork: With Ulistic, you’re part of a great team. You’ll join us on Basecamp, where we share our wins and help each other succeed. Competitive and timely salary. I would recommend this job for anyone who: • Has a real passion for writing and is eager to work hard in a fast-paced environment • Values accuracy and submitting polished writing on weekly deadline cycles. • Is looking for something more long-term and is willing to engage with a great team. • A strong researcher able to write proficiently and thoughtfully on subjects s/he may be unfamiliar with. 100% remote: Offering you the ability to work whenever and from wherever you want.
Cons
None I can think of so far

Pros
There is not 1 pro to working at Ulistic with the Crawford’s. They are two of the worst people you will ever meet. Straight up lunatics. As mentioned in previous reviews, they have no idea what they are doing. The ceo walks around calling him self a god..
Cons
Everything was a downside to working here. Daily temper tantrums by the ceo. Daily smoke breaks with his wife. Of course it’s just her chain smoking and blowing smoke in your face while she makes fun of your outfit that day or talks about how awful another employee is. Also, when you leave this place be prepared to not be done with these people as the ceo is an unstable man. Such a toxic culture and the company has zero values

Pros
If I had to give ANY pros about this company, it would be the pay. I started at $15/hour and then with in a couple months I went to $17/hour because they saw I was doing well. I was then promoted and offered $20/ hour. Wowza for Highlands County!
Cons
The lack of training is one downside. You’re thrown into a position that you have NO idea how to do and offered NO guidance on how to complete that job. He starts off as a decent and nice guy and then turns in to a raging lunatic. He boasts on himself like he’s a god. He belittles employees. His wife joins in as well. She will tell you to do something (like send an email) and the client gets extremely angry and didn’t want that to go out to the thousands of people in their database. Instead of supporting her employee, she places ALL blame on the employee and the employee takes the heat. Employees are overworked. They expect you to complete a to-do list of 60-100 tasks (which in fact they couldn’t complete themselves) and then get mad when you prioritize and push some of those to-do’s out. I originally made a post about this company is May of 2020 because he asked me to. He wanted me to combat the negative reviews that company had been receiving. So like a loyal soldier, I did. I raved on about this company! It was then everything took a turn for the worst. They wanted me to resign. However, I’m not a quitter. It was then they fired me. When they fired me (for an action that was completely on her), they tried to buy me and offer me money to keep my mouth shut. I refused essentially. They wanted me to sign paperwork to shut me up as well. Now the time has come for me to be silent no more. I have refrained from posting anything on social media until now. I believe word of mouth travels faster in small Highlands County. I will leave you with this: if you enjoy being yelled at, belittled, overworked, stressed beyond belief, and worried if you’re going to have a job the next day, work here. This is the place for you.

Do Not Work For or With Ulistic
Sep 27, 2021 - Anonymous EmployeeRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Stuart pays a little higher than he should, which is good if you're starting out. Great place to learn the basics of digital marketing so you can get a better job elsewhere.
Cons
God, everything. The CEO is malicious and manipulative. If you're an employee, he will scream and berate you and tell you how much you suck at your job. The man is literally going to court for hostile work environment. He will do things behind your back and it makes your job more difficult. Moreover, there is no organization to within the company. As a result, you end up overworked and underpaid (despite what I said in the pros section). If you're a client, oof. All of your content is recycled. And if you signed a noncompete with him, he will still work with other clientsin your area but provide them with a different RSS feed so it doesn't LOOK like they are also using Ulistic. Its so common in fact that he received a cease and desist.

If only the clients knew how badly this place is run...
Oct 23, 2020 - Anonymous EmployeeRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The only reason to work here is the decent pay, but I wouldn’t wish this place on my worst enemy.
Cons
How much time do you have? I can tell you right now any positive review you might see on this page is either fake and written by management, or written by a new employee who has no idea what they have got themselves into. Nobody that works there is happy, they just feel trapped, and nobody has ever left with a positive view of the company. On that note, every negative review you see is true, and they only half explain the hell you experience working at Ulistic. The founder an awful person, and he is 99% of the problem with the company. He touts himself as a marketing genius, and he loves to stoke his own ego by yelling at people, and treating people like garbage. He enjoys threatening peoples jobs and when they get upset he says that “Americans are too sensitive.” The employee turnover is unnaturally high (I worked with about 70 different employees in three years, and never more than 10 at a time) this is partially because he hires people without experience and offers them no training, then belittles them for every mistake they make. His business practices are unethical, and makes his hourly employees clock out once they reach 40 hours and continue to work off the clock. I have never worked in such a hostile environment, and never will again.

Thank you for your review of your employment experience with Ulistic. You are more welcome and entitled to your opinion and we are also very much entitled to leaving a response to argue your statements. First off, Ulistic has been in business for 10+ years, we have long-standing clients, if our business practices were unethical, do you think clients would stick around? Florida law for employees making less than approx $17.50 was limited to 40 hours per week and we ensure all employees who fit this requirement did not work over 40 hours per week and these same employees were not forced to work for free or work off the clock. It came to our attention, that some decided on their own accord to take courses, conduct their own training or catch up on work on their own but it WAS NOT mandated by the company and in some situations, employees who elected to work on their own accord after hours, were compensated with time off without having to take PTO or sick time for appointments. In your opinion, I may be an awful person, but would an awful person offer team members to purchase retired computers for their children at a heavily discounted price, donate thousands of dollars each year to local charities, offer flexible work schedules to those with special circumstances, allow employees to work from home (even before COVID), and much more. Regarding training. Staff members were offered training with organizations such as Donald Miller's StoryBrand (5 figure investment), YouTube training, training with Sharpspring (our recommended CRM), and host weekly training every Thursday at Noon, where we purchased lunch for all staff members in attendance. If we were an awful company would we welcome staff and their families into the home of the owners for company events and social gatherings. Meet at top restaurants in the area for team bonding and hold other events regularly to bring everyone together? You're more than welcome to your opinion and your summation of me as a person, you're entitled to formulate your own opinions. It is very clear by your review that you feel you were unjustly treated. However, we have key members of our team who feel exactly the opposite of you, and their reviews, that you call fake, are not and they provided them without any pressure what so ever. Ulistic wishes you the best of luck in your future and we hope and pray that you will find peace and happiness in your life. However, your claims are simply not 100% truthful but we respect your feelings that you personally feel your 3 years at Ulistic was not pleasurable or satisfying.

The company that cares about its clients and its employees
Sep 14, 2020 - Web Developer in Sebring, FLRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
I'd say it's a great place for students and beginners - so much of practice. A real chance to learn how modern digital marketing works, all aspects. Being in this industry for quite a while, I still learned a lot since I joined. Also, it's a great place for professionals - a lot of various work, and the pay is pretty good. If you happen to be ambitious - you take as many responsibilities as you can handle, including the leadership roles. But be prepared to really care about your clients, it's a top priority to go an extra mile, not just perform your minimum responsibilities.
Cons
It's not a great place if work is not your priority or if you don't care about clients enough - you will be shown the door quickly. And I think it's fair. The workload is very demanding. You have to be efficient to succeed and stay on top of things.

Thanks for your review..we've been working hard on our three core principles. We use these guiding principles when reviewing everyone at the company. If team members are not focused on client success and going the extra mile for them...then they don't fit into our firm.

I probably work with around 40 people who were fired. Don’t get comfortable! Use this as a job to make money while applying for other jobs.

New Age Approach to Corporate Structure is on point!
May 6, 2017 - CMO in Sebring, FLRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Technology has made the old-fashioned brick and mortar office place obsolete. In order to bring the very best talent and skills to the Ulisitic Clients, owner, Stuart Crawford has harnessed the ability to work with his team remotely. He has top professionals in all areas working all over the world to present the very best end product to his clients. He has given his entire team the ability to learn and grow with this relatively new concept of working remotely. The company works to provide the latest in tools and technology to the employees and he provides training as well. Being part of this team is a rare opportunity to be on the leading edge of what will probably be the standard in the years to come.
Cons
Because the concept is new, there are no solid guidelines and models to follow in growing this team and helping them to effectively work together from all corners of the world, so there are bumps in the road, one of those being the never ending work day that comes with co-workers and clients all over the world. Stuart does make some mistakes and misjudgments occasionally, but my experience is that when this happens, he works to correct the problems to see this doesn't happen again.
