Expectations from upper management are unrealistic. The work environment use to be fun and exciting but over the last 2 years it’s become stressful and fear driven. No work/life balance

The work environment is super fun and very rewarding. Coworkers are also pretty great. I love working around the products in Ulta and it's a family friendly environment.

I was told I would be getting 15+ hours and I'm getting less than that. They also get onto me for things I was never told to do.

Decent discount, easy-to-follow dress code. As long as you are performing your duties properly it's an overall fun work environment.

The way the company handles payroll is pathetic. Our store is overstaffed (and our manager keeps hiring more people), which means each associate only gets staffed for 1-2 4-hour shifts per week. Coroporate does not allocate NEARLY enough payroll hours. Usually there is only one staff member on the floor at a time, and customers are often left searching for someone to help them.
