I worked at Ultimate Fighting Championship full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Free tickets to events. Free gear. You get to meet the fighters (they don't want to meet you) Competitive pay. Fun Xmas party.

    Cons

Fighters are stuck up and rude. (Not all but some) Terrible upper management who lead wit fear. Benefits are not all that great. HR team is a joke and has no idea what they are doing. Me and my coworkers came to them in confidence about an issue and then our entire department knew about the issue. Only suck ups get promoted.

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Ultimate Fighting Championship full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

You’re exposed to high-level execs from go, given a lot of responsibility regardless of title, travel, fun, it’s the cool job, good opportunities to learn. Most employees are young, social and driven.

    Cons

There is absolutely no growth. Coordinators are doing the same work as directors but with no recognition or advancement. The company is very cliquish and if you’re not part of the cool kids club you’re treated terribly. Management lacks leadership and is dishonest. There’s zero work-life balance to the point you’re afraid to even leave early for a doctor appointment. High level execs make knee-jerk decisions without finding out the root of the issue. WME has no clue what they’re doing where the sport is concerned and is ruining the direction of the sport.

I have been working at Ultimate Fighting Championship full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

great team enviroment, you're allowed to share your ideas everyone is receptive of new fresh ideas. come up with and work on formats for television shows that will air on FS1. Promos can be aired on PPV's that are being shown around the world, your work can be shown on the UFC's very large social media platform. Job is never ever boring, almost anything will happen, it's frustarating at times but also exhilarating.

    Cons

it takes a very long time to get promoted. communication is not strong. other departments are difficult to work with. the volatility of the fight industry will wear on your mind, body and soul.

I have been working at Ultimate Fighting Championship full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Great people Flexible schedule Nice new building 401k match

    Cons

Bad upper management Very hard to get promoted The goal and raise process is a pathetic joke Bonuses don't reflect your work at all No communication Severe cut backs Not enough employees in certain departments Many unhappy employees Expensive benefits Not much room for growth Some employees treated unfairly Depending on your department work life balance can be difficult. Company does not abide by the culture and values they preach. Unfair pay. One person will be making $50k while the other works harder in that same position for $36k
