      Pros

The best reasons to work at UMA include management that wants you to GROW, flexible work arrangements, the impact made on others lives, and the work life balance! This is the best company I've ever worked for.

      Cons

Not so much a downside but an adjustment is working from home, you must research what this is like before deciding its best for you. I miss water cooler chats but there are other ways to do this and UMA thrives in providing these.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback! We encourage our team members to take on new challenges to improve their talents and learn new skills, and we are so glad to hear that you are enjoying our professional and personal growth offerings! We understand that working from home may be an adjustment and our team would be happy to provide you with some resources and tips that may be able to help you adapt to the work-from-home life. Please feel free to reach out to our team at hrcares@ultimatemedical.edu for assistance.

            Pros

UMA has displayed great work culture and care for employee's. From the 2020 pandemic to hurricane troubles, UMA has prioritized the care of it's employees by offering additional paid-time-off or flexible scheduling. From my personal experience, my team has been great to work with and leadership/management have been understanding, supportive, transparent and flexible. Despite metrics hanging over everyone's head, I have seen and felt managers advocate on employee behalf and give one - on-ones if you're in a tight spot. You can feel that they do try to retain their team members and have an open door policy. They offer benefits, and employee discounts as well.

            Cons

Due to job being based on monthly metrics, there is a level of job insecurity. Usually, there are steps that are taken prior to termination, which gives you a chance to essentially save your job. Despite your tenure, you can still be let go. Sometimes it feels like they are only pushing for numbers and once the goals been hit they want more more more.

Thank you for taking the time to share your insights and experiences as part of the UMA team. We are delighted to hear that you have found our work culture to be positive and caring, particularly during challenging times such as the 2020 pandemic and hurricane troubles. We are committed to prioritizing the well-being of our employees and are pleased to know that you have benefited from our PTO and flexible scheduling offerings. UMA is dedicated to fostering an environment where our employees feel valued and supported in their professional growth. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us maintain an open and collaborative workplace that advocates for our team members and focuses on their growth and success. If you feel comfortable, we would like to ask that you please reach out to our People & Culture team at hrcares@ultimatemedical.edu so that we may discuss your experience in more detail and see if there is anything that we may do to assist you further.

              Pros

-PTO plan provides employees with opportunities to navigate through hardships and sick days -Remote work (thanks to the pandemic)

              Cons

-Bonus plan is only implemented to attract new employees, while its near impossible to hit unless your given preferential treatment -DEI ruined this company, hundreds of individuals were forced out to make room for new employees who checked certain boxes, without merit or experience -Promoted several senior leaders who created an unstable work environment -Cannot speak to HR with full transparency due to their close relationships with Senior Management, as they'll put a mark on you to try and squeeze you out the door. Additionally, several leaders in HR have come and gone, so nobody understands or notices the mistakes made in the past & a new slate is given to those they want to keep around

                    Pros

There are a lot of pros to working at this company. The management is truly understanding of work-life balance, and we have a lot of support for mental and physical health issues from the top down. The pay is on par, and the benefits are very good. They match up to 50 cents for every dollar on your 401K. I have recommended this employer to many friends already.

                    Cons

I have not run across any negative issues with UMA. Everyone is nice and the HR team is open and understanding. We serve a great purpose. The students who go here are truly amazing and the employees love to see their success. That is a company that cares when the workers are also excited to be there, and they are driven to help the students and the employer grow.

                      Pros

One of the things I admire most about this company is its dedication to work- life balance. They understand the importance of maintaining a healthy equilibrium between professional responsibilities and personal well-being. Flexible work arrangements and comprehensive employee benefits reflect their commitment to the well-being of their team members. This is a result oriented and thriving organization with exceptional leadership and vision. Students' success is at the center of all decisions. Employee tenure continues to grow year after year. I am blessed and proud to work for such an amazing organization.

                      Cons

It is hard to think of any cons, However, I would suggest continuing to use technology to innovate and ensure UMA remains at the forefront as a healthcare education provider.

                      Manager

I’ve recently completed an interview for my dream job at a dream company. It went well (and received same feedback from HR afterwards), however I was just informed the position is placed on hold to ascertain their resources, etc. my interviewer was the head of the department. Would it be inappropriate for me to reach out to her on LinkedIn to let her know I would be interested in any future roles on her team?
