I have been working at Ultimate Medical Academy full-time for more than a year

    Pros

UMA is a fun and collaborative organization where people achieve as a team. There is so much opportunity to grow your professional skill set which can take you to higher positions at UMA. If you’re starting a career or coming in at a senior level, UMA is the perfect place to be. It’s mission and vision shines through each person.

    Cons

Pay could be higher as well as better benefits, and more contribution to 401k.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you’re doing and keep providing opportunities.

I have been working at Ultimate Medical Academy full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

If you are looking for a place to grow, this may not be the place for you unless you get hired on as a manager. -bonus (depending on performance ) - Very detailed training for new hires -Pay is fantastic - Good health Benefits - if in between jobs- good transitional job - Departmental transfers may be an option after 6 months if in good standing. - Employee evaluations

    Cons

    - Favoritism results in an unequal work environment for potential positions or promotions - Micromanaging depending on the manager or department. - Very production based, not a good fit if you do not like a call center/sales environment -- Management/Directors (if they do not like you-- you will not advance in the company) - Very strict metrics (you have a time frame to hit numbers if not meet, you will be... let go after the grace period is up)

    Advice to Management

Willingness to treat all employees equally! In addition to being goal driven by numbers/metrics to be meet is important; it should not, however, aid an environment of constant competition, little team work, and abundance favoritism. Actively listen and collaborate effectively with your employees. Management tends to not listen to areas of opportunities that can better business growth.

I have been working at Ultimate Medical Academy part-time

    Pros

Faculty and staff are nice. They are normally available for questions. They are always working for a better method and model so change is regular.

    Cons

Too many meetings and extra work without pay. As a contracted employee sometimes you have classes and sometimes you do not. This is based on enrollment. Even when you do not have classes you have to attend online meetings that you are not compensated for. You also have to complete instructor development, professional development, online classes etc. all non-paid. When you figure out all the additional hours that... are unpaid it takes your regular pay scale down .

I worked at Ultimate Medical Academy full-time for less than a year

    Pros

pay is great but its for a reason, in this job you are just making calls to leads that go to voicemail.

    Cons

you will make around 400 calls a day and still not get a single person enrolled for days . 90% of calls go to voice mail 9% are mad because we call them so much 1% might go trough with the presentation and still might not sigh up.

    Advice to Management

    better leads

I have been working at Ultimate Medical Academy full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Excellent merit program, open to career development, work with people who care about others and students, good work life balance; always accommodating days off or needing to work remote, solid company vision.

    Cons

Poor facilities; hallways and bathrooms are always crowded, parking is terrible, office can be noisy and distracting at times, benefits are subpar; low 401k match, no bonus, no tuition reimbursement, low pto days

    Advice to Management

Have a better focus on career development including being proactive in discussing and laying out advancement opportunities, providing more company sponsored education whether its tuition reimbursement or skills focused training. Upgrading facilities, less people, bigger bathrooms, better parking.
