    Pros

They generally leave you alone but Mike is not open to anyone's ideas but his own

    Cons

They do not want the sales team to make too much in commissions.

    Advice to Management

    Beef up engieering

    Pros

Casual work environment, with decent benefits. Health Plans used to be much better, but that's everywhere

    Cons

Leadership is a country club mindset. Being a Public Company, everything is about stock price, and nothing is about morale. They do basically 2-3 rounds of layoffs every year, and you duck your head and hope to survive.

    Advice to Management

treat employees like they matter and quit with the layoffs. A secure employee will do much better work.

I have been working at Ultralife full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Compensation packages aren't the worst. Salaries are average, health benefits gutted as of 2014.

    Cons

Management by intimidation and verbal abuse
    Quarterly layoffs
    Myopic leadership shuns innovation
Boys club reward themselves and fire everyone else on quarterly basis

    Advice to Management

Fire yourselves instead of skilled employees so management that is actually competent can come in.

I have been working at Ultralife full-time

    Pros

I survived the cuts and lay offs

    Cons

Pay isn't anything to talk about. Communication is practically non existent. Worried if Ultralife will still be there next year.

    Advice to Management

Tell your employee's what's going on. What is the sales dept. doing? Are we getting any orders? Why don't we have enough inventory in the plant?

    Pros

Global company with wide range of diverse customers. Gained invaluable knowledge and experience in dealing with an international marketplace.

    Cons

Too much restructuring and downsizing created unstable environment and large number of highly qualified people have gone by the wayside.

    Advice to Management

More strategic, managed growth and better decision making. Need to place more value on employees.
