I have been working at Underline Communications full-time

    Pros

Extremely organized, friendly and fun atmosphere & this place rewards you for working hard. Bagel breakfast ever Friday, luncheons and social hours make this a fun place to go to work. Underline is also growing fast and there is a lot of opportunity to move up & expose to new clients.

    Cons

Not enough vacation days & not flexible when comes to working remote

    Advice to Management

Keep up the great work! Thank you for recognizing everyone that works hard

I have been working at Underline Communications full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Nothing to mention besides getting off at 5:30

    Cons

The 2 principal owners who create a stifling and oppressive work environment based on fear.

    Advice to Management

Let the people you hire do their jobs.

    Neutral Outlook

I worked at Underline Communications full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - Hours, benefits, and salary are reasonable for a small agency. - Small firm so you can have the option to see all sides of the business.

    Cons

    - Stability: as with any agency work comes and goes, so staff was often nervous about layoffs -Lack of trust: It is a small company run tightly by the two principals. Heavy on the micro-managing. - Work: The work is mostly production. Not too many opportunities to work on interesting projects.

    Advice to Management

Give your employees some freedom. Let them grow and be creative. You may be shocked at what some of them can offer, and at the end of the day that might be the only way to truly grow the business.

  4. "Small boutique agency focused on CRM. Not a big client roster, mainly one client. Lack innovation and variety in work."

I worked at Underline Communications full-time for less than a year

    Pros

They have good snacks. The hours are decent.

    Cons

All they do is email and some landing pages but only for one client. Not much learning. Leadership is into micro managing.

    Negative Outlook

I worked at Underline Communications full-time for less than a year

    Pros

There are no "Pros" when it comes to working at Underline Communications. It's a boutique marketing agency that is owned and run by two individuals that are extremely poor examples of managers and business owners. Instead of allowing employees to grow and think for themselves, this company is run more like a dictatorship.

    Cons

Accepting a job at Underline Communications was one of the biggest mistakes of my life. The office culture was very tense. And the company is a true example of a revolving door. The high paying salaries compared to other boutique agencies are the only reason why people stay. In the short time that I was there, there was about a 50 percent turn-over rate in employees leaving. There is no potential for growth here.

    Advice to Management

The reckless and dishonest behavior of management will be the destruction of Underline Communications.

    Positive Outlook

I worked at Underline Communications for more than 8 years

    Pros

-Good work life balance -variety of projects -calm, kind, mentors -extremely sound creative leadership -genuine, sincere, trustworthy

    Cons

Like anywhere some clients can be unreasonable. As a culture, not everyone will have the talent to perform there. Good work life balance may trade off into less money short term.

    Advice to Management

Expand research into underlying philosophy around digital product design, it's no longer a lesser version of print. Keep being awesome. Keep up the good work!
