I have been working at UniFirst full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I have only been to work for 2 months but this industry seems to have lots of family core values that I truly appreciate

    Cons

Wish we could get to purchasing insurance quicker than having to wait 90 days with the government ruling we now have into place where they will charge for laps in coverage.

    Advice to Management

ALWAYS keep you open door policy in place and truly mean it because employees always need to know they have someone out there in the corporate world that still listens to them.

I have been working at UniFirst full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I have spent the majority of my career life in sales and customer service and have not been able to find the ideal balance of fair, caring management, work-life balance, a base salary PLUS commission and training that is nationally recognized. I have found that at UniFirst Corporation.

This is an excellent company to work for that cares for it's customers as well as their employees. The training is intense and the hours are long at first, but all worth it.

    Cons

The only con would be if you're not self motivated. You are out in the field 3 days per week.

    Advice to Management

    Keep doing what you're doing

I have been working at UniFirst full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    > Freedom to work your territory

    > Very limited micromanaging

    > Great management team and staff

    > Only 1 1/2 days of cold calling via telephone other then that you knocking on doors putting your face in front of the customer

    > Old sales manager is gone so employee moral and lack of stress from micromanaging is greatly improved

    Cons

    > Must be a go getter, nobody is going to babysit you. Come here ready to work

    > Get use to the word "NO" but remain confident and keep pushing

    > Requires a decent amont of driving

    > Must be aggressive to close sales

    Advice to Management

Keeping improving how you are. Steps in the right direction keeps employee moral up. Continue to believe in and stand by your reps and give us the freedom to our territory and day to day activities. Micromanaging leads to dizaster.
