I have been working at UniFirst full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

UniFirst provides the opportunity needed to get started in outside sales. The training provided is excellent and it gives you to tools you need to be successful. You will go through the entire sales cycle from prospect to customer in all sales you make. There is no place that will top the experience that you will receive at UniFirst.

    Cons

The only con would be that if you are not a self starter, driven and motivated for success then UniFirst is not the place for you. If you have all of those traits then this is the place to be!

    Advice to Management

Keep pushing the positive results minded atmosphere!

I have been working at UniFirst full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

UniFirst is a great place to work overall. They have great training, holidays, and vacation plans. UniFirst also regularly promotes from within, and rewards those who produce results.

    Cons

Every position here is extremely challenging in it's own right. If you wish to punch a clock, and not put any effort or heart into what you do this is not going to work for you.

I never imagined that I'd work for a company that truly, genuinely cares about its people the way that UniFirst does. From impeccable training to management that actually wants to see you succeed, UniFirst should be considered a national frontrunner when it comes to company culture.

    Pros

This is my 3rd week with this company and I already know that I'm in the best work environment to succeed. Training has been thorough so far and I get a lot of support from my Sales Manager's and General Manager. Overall a positive work environment.

    Cons

The only con for me is that I want to be out there selling and talking about UniFirst, but need to complete training first.

    Advice to Management

    Keep you the great work!!

I worked at UniFirst full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

There were many "Pros" to working at UniFirst. They have a very thorough training program that is supported by corporate and regional trainers. The job does not require you to work on nights or weekends allowing for a great work / life balance. And, the people at Loc 821 were friendly and supportive.

    Cons

During the time that I spent at UniFirst I cannot think of anything that I would list as a "Con". If you are a salesperson, or desire to build a career in sales, there is no reason that you cannot be successful at UniFirst.

    Advice to Management

Continue to support and live the culture that the company has built it's success on.

    Pros

I always feel a great sense of pride working for UniFirst. The people that I work with are all very like minded and goal driven which makes it a lot of fun to come to work. The atmosphere is what I love the most about UniFirst.

    Cons

You are unable to schedule time off around the holidays.

    Advice to Management

A better screening for the service department and better training for upper management would help tremendously.
