      Pros

Coworkers were great. Building and physical plant were nice. Benefits were generally good although company has been reducing their matching share of 401k in recent years. On premise cafeteria, gym and credit union branch.

      Cons

Company went from a great place to work to a nothing special, low end corporate wanna be over the years. Company dropped cost of living increases entirely. Now on average if you don't bid and take on a new job position in at least the next higher job grade you will only see a low end merit increases, generally only about 2-3% if you perform exceptionally well. They like to preach they offer great chance for advancement but all they do is move people around changing duties and adding more assigned responsibilities without any accompanying increase. They avoid promotions this way. Used to be straightforward annual promotional opportunities with 10-15-20% increases but not any more. Morale is low, resources are either unavailable or must be used on your own time and employees are not supported by immediate or upper level management.

      Average corporate office, good amenities.

      Pros

As the parent company for United and Mayflower, UniGroup is a good resume and experience builder for someone in the corporate arena. People here are very nice. Good amenities onsite: cafeteria, gyms, fitness classes and showers. Some opportunities for volunteering are available. Tuition assistance is nice. If you are looking for a solid place to work (but not necessarily career or financial growth) this is a good place to be. Depending on department/management, flexible schedules.

      Cons

Not a lot of room for growth unless your career is in the field of transportation. While I was hired with a fair salary, pay increases have been at or below cost of living for many years, so I am now well below market rate for my field/experience level. Morale is generally down because of some cutbacks and downsizing, but management is genuinely trying to remedy the gloominess. Depending on department/management, schedules can be inflexible.

Started Positive but Took a Turn

      Pros

They value education and offer financial support for it, two on-site gyms and workout classes available, on-site dining. Wellness program and somewhat regular employee appreciation/morale boosting events.

      Cons

Salaries are well below market value. They have a review process in place that is meant to determine raises and bonuses but the raises/bonuses are minimal and often don't keep up with the cost of living changes. The company is big on promoting from within and promise increased responsibilities and titles to retain employees, but then don't provide adequate raises to correspond with the increased responsibility. Some company mindsets and values seem to be very outdated and some departments are very top heavy with management when there is really no apparent need for it.

      Cons

Average Pay, new position is a lateral move, most cases no pay increase! Yearly raises do not compare to cost of living! New people being hired make more than long time employees!
