    Pros

Unilever has great values, and was a great place to work prior to the Kraft Heinz bid. Unfortunately it went into slashing mode to raise stock value. Great pay and benefits.

    Cons

Corporate disconnect with sites. But overall a good company to work for.

    Advice to Management

Make onboarding easy, organize the corporation so it's easier to make a decision, and bring IT in house.

    I worked at Unilever full-time

    Pros

Products, some of the people. Products and some of the people since I need 20 words and there aren't 20 pros.

    Cons

Leadership (lack of), favoritism, have to be in the club to survive comfortably. Some of the people. Pay (lack of). Does not care about the people. Safety is important until it interferes with production.

    Advice to Management

Learn how to lead, value, and get the most out of your people. Stop hiring and promoting people just because you know them. What seems easiest today is not always best for the long term. Get to know your subordinates, learn more about them than what other people have to say. Teamwork makes the dream work.

    I worked at Unilever full-time

    Pros

Strong support of growth and education. Great benefits, work flexibility, and opportunity for advancement. Challenging and rewarding work environment. Ethical and sustainable. Good corporate citizen.

    Cons

Constant change was the norm. Lacked innovation, in regard to new product development, while competition was the opposite. Seemed to not want to take risks on new products. Difficult to compete with other leading brands. Started utilizing third party manufacturing, which took away some control on price and quality.

    Advice to Management

Listen better to people in customer development, who are out in the field. Focus more on what the customer really want, vs. what just what SLT want.
