Family Owned Business that truly cares
Dec 17, 2015 - Anonymous Employee in Chicago, ILRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
I love supporting family owned businesses. This company offers great benefits and for hourly employees, the opportunity for some great overtime. There are also team building activities. I really enjoy the paid holidays and the fact the company shuts down for a week (paid) in between Christmas and New Year.
Cons
If you are salary, you have the potential to work long hours. That is just part of the job. We host a lot of social events for our customers, as we are the manufacturer, so those are work events, but we still get to grab a cocktail and mingle with our customers.

Not just a job - It is a CAREER!
Feb 26, 2020 - Machine Operator in Uxbridge, MARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Safety is the top priority for all employees. We have the best quality in the industry, so the competition is always looking up at us. I earned more as I learned more. Versatile and reliable employees are recognized and compensated. The Plant Manager, Supervisors, Mechanics, and Operators ALL started as laborers and worked their way up the ranks. Great medical benefits and retirement package. They want all employees to stay for life and retire happy and healthy.
Cons
The plant can be hot in the summer time, but they provide plenty of water a gatorade. You can't have a beard because of the respirator program, but that is an OSHA regulation. Unilock actually goes above and beyond OSHA rules sometimes to maximize our safety.
