The pay and benefits are very fair and better than what is offered at most banks. Good management support. Overall it's a great company to work for.

It's difficult to get things done because of all their painful processes. They have a one size fits all mentality.

    Pros

The people, I worked with some of the most lively characters. I also had some of the hardest working managers.

    Cons

Career Development - This is what made me leave the company. You get promised and assured one thing, but it didn't happen.

I have been working at Union Bank N.A. full-time

    Pros

Salaries are competitive, impressive yearly bonus. Love my co-workers. Offices are nice. Good life/work balance. 4 weeks vacation to start at the VP level.

    Cons

Management styles very widely, some managers of co-workers in my dept. are micro-managers.
I wish we used the normal marketing tools like SalesForce and Marketo so we could have exposure to them (and learn them).
They used to have pensions - that has been discontinued.

    Advice to Management

I am not certain that the upper management in the marketing department has any real marketing expertise. I see a lot of bad, mis-informed & knee jerk marketing decisions.
