I worked at Unisys (More than a year)

    Pros

    Great benefits.
    Equitable and market-comparable pay.

    Cons

Sales force and management have lost their way resulting in the collapse of any real chance of earning a bonus on any form of a compensation plan.

    Advice to Management

Dump and replace sales management and sales force; replace with a truly knowledgeable consultative sales team with integrity and scruples.

I have been working at Unisys full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Benefits package is average or slightly above.

    Cons

Job security is dismal. Outsourcing overseas is the preferred method of employment. Management is very shortsighted with little sense of direction. More focused on budget restraints than developing a successful business model. Mid level teams and in some cases individual employees work in silos.

    Advice to Management

Pull your heads out of the sand. Become more aware of what your employees and teams are doing. Provide input and guidance for both short and long term goals.

I have been working at Unisys full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Some of the management is amazing and will not only coach and mentor you but will also have your back as applicable. Many of my coworkers were true team players and always willing to share knowledge. The benefits are quite competitive.

    Cons

You are always in fear of your position being "off-shored" - even going through exercised of what in your job function could be off-shored. There's zero clear leadership from senior management and no transparency of what's really going on. Senior management hides behind slogans and so-called "mission statements". I've been with Unisys long enough to know that it goes in cycles of "move everything off shore", "tick off clients", "panic and pull everything back on shore". 2016-2017, they're back into the "off-shore everything" mode.

    Advice to Management

Stop ignoring client requests to keep the support they're paying for in their local country. Stop making your employees feel like they're an expendable commodity who's positions can be reassigned on a whim. Stop making short-sited cuts and changes. The board of directors needs to keep a level-headed CEO and stop swapping out the CEO everytime the afore mentioned cycle goes too far.

I have been working at Unisys full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

flex work schedule, kinda...but pretty normal as compared to other in the industry

    Cons

The pay and benefits are not great. They post for and bring you in as a "virtual" associate at even a lower pay (selling you that you won't have commuting expenses), then "reserve the right to change at any time". Meaning, if you are within 30 miles of a site, you will eventually be required to start commuting. They do not keep their word and will not compensate you for making a change. So be aware.
