I have been working at Unisys full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Decent benefits as far as health insurance
2 weeks vacation, increases to 3 weeks after 5 years
"Unlimited" sick time, although of course that means you have no set days you can take off that are totally ok for you to take. Double edged sword
    Pay rate is decent

    Cons

VERY rare to get raises, and they are a joke
Management is clueless about what is going on. Totally disconnected from what its like to be on the "front lines"
Lots of spam emails about stuff that has nothing to do with your job
I felt very disconnected from my company, although my team was great

    Advice to Management

You have individual teams, not a company. Your management team is so disconnected from everyone below you that you are shouting across the Grand Canyon. Stop pretending like we're all in this together. We're not.

Stop pretending that sending out emails praising us is enough reward. Give raises. Tough year? Too bad. That isn't on our backs. That is on your backs. Don't penalize us, the ones who do the grunt work. We don't make hundreds of thousands of dollars. Most of us don't even make close to 6-figures.

    Pros

    Great benefits.
    Equitable and market-comparable pay.

    Cons

Sales force and management have lost their way resulting in the collapse of any real chance of earning a bonus on any form of a compensation plan.

    Advice to Management

Dump and replace sales management and sales force; replace with a truly knowledgeable consultative sales team with integrity and scruples.

I worked at Unisys full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good for gaining experience in the IT industry, and getting a degree or certifications. They offer tuition and/or certification reimbursement

    Cons

Low pay. Raises are few and always percentage based, even when changing roles or advancing to new positions. Layoffs happen too often.

    Advice to Management

When an employee changes positions or advances within the company, the pay of the new position should be determined by the position alone, not by the employee's previous pay.
