    Pros

Helpful people willing to teach you if they see potential in you. Flexible work hours. Ability to work from home as needed.

    Cons

The pay could be a little better. They always announce about how proud they are that they one a new multi million dollar contract but never mention giving anyone a raise.

I have been working at Unisys full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

people have heard of it, salary is OK, health insurance is good, unisys has lots of locations, retirement fund matching

    Cons

Unisys' treatment of employees as assets in the same way it regards printers, laptops, and office chairs leads to a depressing, negative environment with no interest in employee development,

I worked at Unisys full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great parking, good location, located in a convenient location for lunch, none of which matter unless the job itself is terrible. Actually hated going to work in the morning.

    Cons

Caustic environment, finger pointing, CYA, every man for himself attitude, apparent new culture that is designed to make Unisys a contender in business development but is doing the opposite. VPs feeling pressure to succeed or resign/be fired.

    Advice to Management

Believe the incentive plan set up by management has created the poor environment and will work to undermine any gains achieved.

I worked at Unisys full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The location of Unisys is in the heart of Reston, right by Reston Town Center

    Cons

Company doesn't care about its employees, there is no sense that you are a team working towards the same goal. Diva Senior Management, they want what they want when the want it. Poor management team, low team morale. They claimed you would get bonuses for winning bids, whenever bids were won we were never notified. When bonuses were discussed they would say they are working on it and would let us know (said this for an entire year(

    Advice to Management

Invest in your employees, really look at who you hire in management positions they really make or break the morale of the team. Had a terrible leader who told me herself "I'm not a people person" Also said "you are salaried employees, you will work when needed, if you are not happy about it go find an hourly job."

I worked at Unisys full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The people are amazing. They truly try to do the best they can though understaffed, undertrained, and with obsolete tools.

    Cons

The red tape, the resistance to change, the one trick mentality that everything is solved by headcount reductions, the lack of any training to field workers, the low wages to anyone below management... I can go on.

    Advice to Management

Let the account team manage their slice of the business. Stop trying to fix contracts that were born broken thanks to the Sales Teams by punishing the field people. Stop trying to screw the customer once you get to the point where there is no more fat to trim.

I worked at Unisys (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great mid-level leadership and great opportunity to take on different roles and training.

    Cons

The knowledge gap between upper level and mid-level management seems too large.

    Advice to Management

Lower and mid-level management should get some additional information and face time from the execs to understand what's in the pipeline in other areas.

    Pros

Wonderful people with technical talent. Hard working with the desire to win.. at times a question of consulting vs system integrator.

    Cons

Moving away from their core business. Need to find what they do well in and discover why clients buy from them. There is value but needs to be articulated.

    Advice to Management

Find out why clients buy from Unisys

    Pros

Their HR and payroll department were pretty good and responsive. They have excellent benefits.

    Cons

I don't have a detailed memory of it now but their automated phone system for getting through to HR with an issue, like benefits, was a nightmare. You would have to press a series of menu choices and it would take you in circles as I recall.

    Advice to Management

Look over your HR phone system
