    Pros

I have been with United Cellular for a while. As long as you do your job, you will be compensated well and taken care of. Most districts/markets that I have been to have such a sense of "team" and "family" and that is really hard to find now days. Everyone not only wants to see the district succeed, but their fellow stores and managers. I have never worked with a company whose upper management is as involved at a store level as United Cellular. It's every day business for Jeff Jackson(VP of the company) or Christie Booth(Regional Manager) to be in stores, on the sales floor working with customers and employees.

    Cons

Working in any wireless service, it is ever changing. If you can't adapt, and adapt quickly, to change then this is not the job, company or industry for you.

    Advice to Management

Don't be afraid to get rid of employees who are holding the rest of the company down. Make sure employees know they are appreciated and valued.

I worked at United Cellular full-time

    Pros

The Corporate Office is a smaller business environment than I was accustomed to from prior work experience. I found that it is easier to make an impact in this type of environment if you are willing to put in the work. For those who perform their work at a high level, the management team is more than fair. For those who want to be compensated at a higher level, if your work backs up your desire for higher compensation, then management is willing to listen to your case and negotiate with you in order to keep high performers on the team. I learned that approaching the top managers in the organization to present your case regarding pay, duties, challenges, job issues, etc. is the best way to develop a mutual respect for one another. Overall a good experience.

    Cons

There were some challenges, and I think that can be attributed to a smaller staff in the Corporate Office used to support approximately 1000 employees in the field. This means that there is always something to do. Not necessarily a bad thing - just a little hectic at times.
The benefits definitely were not what I was accustomed to so there could have been some improvement there.

    Advice to Management

Developing systems, improving processes, and creating better internal controls, while time consuming, could really produce efficiency and cost savings that would have been beneficial for the company.

I worked at United Cellular full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Don’t remember any good for company but the team which I worked with, they were nice, I was happy to work with them

    Cons

Corporate employees are not nice, they think we only wait for their commands. I had a few speeches with warehouse employees they were so rude

    Advice to Management

You can not have success with this understanding. It has to change. You should send your office employees to real world to stores for them to Feel and experience what is happening

I worked at United Cellular full-time

    Pros

    It is a pay check.

    Cons

Owner is extremely sexist, management is a joke, you only get commission if you reach a certain quota, their training is pointless, management won't back you up if it means they have to do anything, and if you want to file a complaint don't expect them to care. They would rather promote a stuffed animal if they dont like you. Expect to not only do your job but others as well.

    Advice to Management

You need qualified people not your favorite idiot.

I worked at United Cellular full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I work here and was not much to expect just a lot of work to do. Learn a lot about sales if you have no experience, but they will hired anyone with little experience.

    Cons

Poor execution on upper management and managers.
Avoid at all cost unless you need to work here, but the work is never ending and some stores are not organize.
Upper management does not do much work to help you.

    Advice to Management

Do not hired family or friends to work for your company.
