I worked at United Community Bank full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great to work for because local branches work like family

    Cons

    Corporation management not handled professionally

I worked at United Community Bank full-time

    Pros

Good paying, you get to sit in a chair most of the day.

    Cons

They would rather fire you and not tell you what you did. Rather then helping to shape you as the professional they want. They also schedule you 13 days in a row, then one day off and 13 days in a row again. You get about two days off a month.

    Advice to Management

Communicate with your employees more. Don’t assume they know what you’re thinking.

I have been working at United Community Bank (Less than a year)

    Pros

I've been with the company for about 8 months, I'm very happy here. They allow work from home, no micro-management, hire enough people to do the job.

    Cons

Family benefits are extremely expensive, I spend $800 a month on them. Remote login is tedious, has a lot of interruptions, freezing.

    Advice to Management

    None, great company, great culture.

I have been working at United Community Bank full-time

    Pros

benefits are good, banking hours, indoor environment

    Cons

tellers are at the bottom of the totem pole, we do not get paid enough for the amount of work we do and stuff we have to put up with

    Advice to Management

Bank tellers need to get paid more. Too much recognition goes towards loan officers and managers and little or no appreciation towards tellers. What is a bank without a teller?

    Pros

Most employees are great people with high work ethic.

    Cons

I have been working at United Community Bank full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The employees (approx 35) all have several years with the bank. Very family oriented. Small community bank that really cares about its customers and community. Many customers are known on a first name basis. The bank was started about 14 years ago. Employees inside the organization always had first priority on open positions.

    Cons

At times, and only do to our size, our marketing efforts were limited because of the expense to advertise in metro newspapers. Some of the facilities could have used a bit of updating.

    Advice to Management

Continue to keep the culture and family like values. Keep communication lines open.

    Cons

Pay is low and training was minimal

    Advice to Management

    Pay more
