    Pros

Sharp focus on taking care of business - customer always comes first

    Cons

Very conservative, slow to adopt change

    Advice to Management

Become comfortable with taking some risks. The industry is changing, this company needs to change as well. Don't become the next buggy whip manufacturer

I have been working at United Conveyor Corporation full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

UCC is a low stress working environment. The company is family owned and is very conservative. The Sales Managers are very knowledgeable and great teachers.

    Cons

It's frowned upon to work from home. Some UCC policies that were installed over 30 years ago do not apply in today's corporate world.

    Advice to Management

Trust your employees more, especially the good ones. A conservative approach is definitely risk averse, however it could be the hinderance to accelerated growth.

    Pros

Good Hours, Great place for young engineers to start.

    Cons

The company does not provide training and does not follow the core vales they have set in place. No room for growth. No support from upper management or HR.

    Advice to Management

They should follow the core values that past management has put in place. You have some good workers that are working hard and deserve support from management.

You need to be with the "in crowd" to make a career here, otherwise just view this place as a stepping stone.
    Pay is slightly below market.

    Advice to Management

I have been working at United Conveyor Corporation full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    -Competitive pay
    -Good benefits
    -Excellent work/life balance
-Relaxed environment for the most part
-Reliable job prospect in the long run

Good place to work, especially for someone who is a family person and prioritizes/values family time. The company has a very conservative culture which can be good or bad depending on person's values and priorities.

    Cons

-Not much upward movement opportunities available.
-Very static work environment. Very narrow scope of work
    - Provides very little training for the job, hence results in a very slow paced learning experience.
    - Lacks on team work. All of the departments are so fragmented from each other

Culture is old, but changing in a slow pace. Complete loyalty, as well as "All American/wholesome" attitude are required to move up. Company should work to provide more dynamic work environment for their new engineers to prepare well rounded professionals/leaders.

    Advice to Management

Company should focus on to provide more dynamic work environment for their new engineers to prepare well rounded professionals/leaders.
