I worked at United Dairy Farmers full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Easy to network with regular customers allowing you to quickly out of a poorly managed company.

    Cons

No employee discount, no benefits to anyone below the management team. 401K packets are pick up only and the pay is below average compared to that of other convenience stores in the area.

    Advice to Management

Stop protecting poor performing employees based on personal relationships. Your low QA scores don't stem from other employees not stepping up, it comes from not disciplining or criticizing your "friends".

I worked at United Dairy Farmers part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Same opinions that people share with each other, fair share of work, and free drinks while on the clock.

    Cons

No discounts, hard to move up within the company, how the training is, no breaks unless you're a minor, and rude management.

    Advice to Management

Have break times for everyone so that people do not eat while on the clock, actually promote people instead of having them take the class just to tell them that they're not getting promoted, discounts for employees would be nice, and management could cut the attitude .

    Pros

Good people to work with, friendly, and accomadating. As long as you give notice you need to be out, they will do what they can to accomadate your schedule

    Cons

Tough work environemnt, Gets busy at times, can be stressful. There are times when whole teams will come in and there will only be two workers. This does not make for a good experience for the customer or the employee

    Advice to Management

Staff accordingly and stay involved with your employees. Work closely with your employees and build i good working professional relationship with them.

    Pros

Decent pay once you are at top out. Anything after 40 hrs is overtime.

    Cons

Management is poor. All managers are egomaniacs. They are changing the schedule and making it worse.

    Advice to Management

Stay out of the way of the drivers. Most know what they are doing and the management just gets in the way.

    Pros

Great company, great people. I was proud to be employed at this company. It's a family owned business that has contributed much to the city. Excellent ice cream as well

    Cons

the pay could have been better, but that was due to my skill set, not the company

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work and the direction you're going

I have been working at United Dairy Farmers (More than a year)

    Pros

The biggest pro that I can name is the free fountain drinks that are provided to you on or off your shift as long as you are in uniform or you go into the store you are employed with.

    Cons

There is never any set schedule. One week's schedule is completely different than the next. It is incredibly difficult to obtain a set schedule.

    Advice to Management

Schedule your shifts better and stop treating your employees like they are children and getting parenoid over stupid stuff!
