I have been working at United Dairy Farmers full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The benefits of full time are great. Short term disability, life insurance, and access to cheap GOOD insurance. Pay is decent and paid vacation is a plus.

    Cons

The training is flawed, often I was just asked to check off a list of training things, then sent to class. The trainer in central Ohio is awesome, but I often felt in prepared going to her classes.

    Advice to Management

Spend your given extra hours to train ... On training.

I worked at United Dairy Farmers full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I got pd 11.50. THE ONLY PRO

    Cons

No breaks, or no scheduled breaks the GM SD he meant to say after I told him I would never tell my employees they can't take a break. I had one employee that sat on a milk crate the entire shift every shift, but was friends with the GM. It is a ridiculous company who is blinded by B.S. and lies from there "favorite " GM b ed cuz there are no other stores within 5 miles ands the only reason people come there. The GM took money from my register and the company money to tide him over until pay check . He lies, cheats, and I couldn't take the way he spoke to all of my employees IN FRONT OF CUSTOMERS. He would degrade them, embarrass them ask if they were stupid. Yes ! Right in front of other employees and customers. It's a totally unprofessional atmosphere. Sad cuz they l ok st 5 good people just in 30 days, becuz of him.

    Advice to Management

Hire REAL people who want to work. Put your managers thru training program.

I worked at United Dairy Farmers full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

It's a job that pays minimum wage so that's better than nothing

    Cons

No breaks and you aren't allowed to eat in view of customers but you aren't' allowed in the back room during certain hours (which just so happens to be breakfast/lunch/dinner time)
    Unfair treatment
    Expectations are too high
    Under staffed
    Rampant nepotism

    Advice to Management

Stop hiring your son/daughter/cousin/sister/friends and hire people who really want to work. It makes it harder on all of your real workers when someone is just standing around because they're related to the manager and they can get away with being lazy. Treat your workers with respect and they will respect you too.
