    Pros

-The onboarding process is great, the company provides UHCU training material and ensures you learn every aspect of your role. Also, your ability to move up within in the company is uncomparable. They really invest in their employees and want you to succeed.

    Cons

The pay might be lower than other financial services but it's an easy trade when it comes to culture and training.

I have been working at United Heritage Credit Union full-time

    Pros

UHCU almost always promotes from within the company. Almost all holidays off. Decent paid time off earnings start after 30 days.

    Cons

Lack of training for all positions. Management very concerned with member happiness and not as concerned with employees.

I worked at United Heritage Credit Union full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Holidays off, great coworker's. I've been able to make a lot of great friends working at UHCU. Room to move up
    If you're driven.

    Cons

Sales culture is more intense than enjoyable. Upper management, even branch managers, have their cliques with heavy favoritism. Some managers have never worked at another financial institution and therefore have no outside knowledge forcing them to be narrow minded.

    Advice to Management

Calm down with your sales before you have a Wells Fargo moment and really see why you're in business. Premier perks and other products may make you extra money but your membership is more important. In addition, utilize your employees who have outside experience.

I worked at United Heritage Credit Union part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Holidays off and decent pay.

    Cons

Not enough training and employees are put on teller line without enough proper training.
Employees must meet a quota of opening products for members but not disclosed that there is a quota during the interview. Management for the most part is good but some lower management not very helpful in training. If you are not a salesman then this is not the place for you. Must love asking people to buy things they may or may not want.

    Advice to Management

Get proper training classes up and running to better prepare new employees rather than putting them on the spot to learn from the teller line. Give employee reviews in private instead of in the open in the teller room with other tellers listening. .Be sure to inform new hires that they have a quota to meet each month rather than telling them they will need to only ask members for new products.

    Pros

The company values on paper are fantastic. They do great work in the community. Great training. Great team atmosphere and support at certain locations.

    Cons

The values really don't translate down from upper management. Decisions do NOT seem based on what they say they stand for. Things can be VASTLY different from branch to branch depending on your manager. Some are fantastic. Choose wisely.

    Advice to Management

Take a look at your company mission statement and make decisions that feel like they actually support and benefit your employees or members.

I have been working at United Heritage Credit Union full-time

    Pros

They have an excellent corporate structure, and they really give you the tools to be your own boss. It's easy to move up if you are motivated.

    Cons

Entry level work requires making sales/opening accounts. The load isnt very heavy (~4 month), but if sales isnt your thing....

    Advice to Management

Management is generally good, flexible when flexible is good and strict when strict is good. I haven't met anyone in management who hasn't been friendly and easy to work with in my 4 years here.
