I worked at United Personnel full-time

    Pros

I have had a very positive experience with United Personnel. I have worked mainly with Gayle Murphy out of the Pittsfield, MA office, and she has been outstanding. I was especially impressed when she emailed me after the first week on my job assignment just to ask how things were going. To me, that is great customer service. Everything from the initial signing on process, entering my time card and retrieving my pay check information has gone very smoothly. I would (and already have) recommend United Personnel. Thank you

    Cons

Do not have anything to add for this category.

I have been working at United Personnel full-time

    Pros

Great people to work with - my colleagues are smart, savvy, and fun.
I am learning a lot of things I have never done before and the team makes room for that learning curve.

    Cons

We are growing quickly which can mean some 'hurry up and wait' and shifting priorities.

    Advice to Management

Strengthening vision for the future and sticking with that rather than casting our net too wide.

I have been working at United Personnel full-time

    Pros

United Personnel has a relentless team who seeks and searches to help applicants find employment. They are always working with the applicant to make sure they find the right fit of employment! United Personnel treats each employee with compassion and strive to make everyone feel appreciated. They are always looking for the next best thing for each applicants. United personnel has a widespread commitment to its communities.

    Cons

Sometimes United Personnel will acquire positions that are very entry level and do not pay as much as they would want, sometimes the right thing to do is guide the applicant in a way they can better themselves and its not always want the applicant wants to hear. They offer advice for each person as needed.

    Advice to Management

Continue to care about the success of your employees both field staff and internal.

I have been working at United Personnel full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I am so impressed with this company. There is a tremendous sense of support and camaraderie among the staff and leadership.
I have worked other places that talked about having a great culture. The team at United doesn't just talk; they take action to truly be a great place to work.
Everyone works hard here but we do it together and we have each others backs. We help each other up when we need a hand and we celebrate each others victories. Additionally, while there is a strong drive for growth it is never at the expense of quality.
I love that the company is steadfastly commited to the communities it serves and the economic development of those areas. Everyone is encouraged to give back in whatever way they can.

    Cons

The internal database needs improvement to help us be more efficient. Administrative demands are significant in a busy office that can make it tough to get to the work that drives business. I know management is looking at ways to solve this problem.

    Advice to Management

As we grow never lose sight of the guiding principles that got us here. Stay humble.
