    Pros

An excellent company to work for, great benefits package and the opportunity to participate in a Space Program unparalleled to date by any other country except for the United Sates of America.

    Cons

Very large company so you have to shine to get recognition but it is there if you are willing to earn it.

    Advice to Management

Advise your HR department if they are in charge of recruitment to always (except for life critical situations) accept experience as equivalent to education when trying to fill open personnel requisitions. You are overlooking an extraordinary group of people.

I worked at United Space Alliance full-time

    Pros

Working in the space industry and getting to be part of the shuttle program is very exciting. There is no other industry as thrilling

    Cons

Worst pay I have ever had. I am a hard worker that will put in 12 hour days to achieve goals. The company was filled with people that wouldn't put in an hour of work a day, so clearly management overloaded the workers like myself while letting others do nothing. Executive Leadership was filled with poor decision makers which ultimately lead to the closure of the company as they never were able to land other work beyond shuttle ops. The company overlooked women and minorities for positions above Director. If you applied for another position within the company, HR wouldn't even contact you about it.

    Advice to Management

Go work for real leaders in other industries and learn how to make a company successful now that this company is no longer in business. Learn other ways to manage before taking on another leadership role somewhere else.

I worked at United Space Alliance full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

It was very interesting work launching people into space for the Shuttle program. The pay, benefits and work atmosphere was excellent. I would do it all again with another program.

    Cons

When the program is over, you may lose your job. I lost my job with about 10,000 people.

    Advice to Management

Awesome job and it was nice working with you!
