I have been working at United States Steel full-time

    Pros

Good pay for the area, benefits are good for now, this contract, production incentive are ok, us steel supplies your tools.

    Cons

Poor upper management, no raise in hourly pay for this contract that ends in 2019. Short staffed and will NOT hire. Lower management has their hands tied and mid to upper management treat the employees like dirt. The Carnegie way project is a sham only to drive stock up, rather than fixing the problems correctly they would rather use a temporary solution. They DO NOT listen to the employees! The hours are long and the schedule stinks. There is no balance of work and home life due to understaffing.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees the way you want to be treated. Listen to the people that do the job and have the knowledge. Fix problems the first time the right way, not just to limp along till catastrophic failure. MOST OF ALL, realize your employees are your most valuable asset of the company. A happy employee is a valuable PRODUCTIVE employee that in turn makes the company profitable and successful.
