    Location, hours, did not feel part of internship program since I did not work at main US Steel building on Grant Street

    Good pay. Good benefits. Flexible work schedule

    Cons

    Poor communication. Uncaring managers. Do not appreciate employees. Lack or effective training.

    Communicate and be honest with employees. Praise employees for a job well done.

    Pros

    The pay is better than you'll find at other nearby companies.

    Cons

    Work schedules are horrible. Swing shifts that change weekly from day shift, afternoons and night shifts, between 8 and 16 hour shifts sometimes without notice. Usually only get a weekend off every 16 weeks and have to work most holidays, including Christmas. Dangerous environment also.

    Advice to Management

    Work as a team with your employees. Quit acting like the Pinkertons are still standing on the roof of the building with their shotguns

    Insurance is free,hourly rate of pay is good,pension 401k

    Cons

    Dangerous atmosphere, failure to have mngt listen to any advice,too many lazy ppl,favoritism runs rampat.aggressive foul mouthed bosses.

    Look to make money for the company instead of being bribed by contractors for lunches and random gifts

    If you are self motivated and do your best each and every day its a great place to work. Fairly reasonable compensation and benefits.

    Cons

    Many employees too busy looking for a cakewalk rather than getting on the grind stone and earning it.
