    Pros

    Flexible work schedule. Let you work from home if needed.

    Cons

    Over capacity work load. Horrible treatment of works. Outsourcing a lot of jobs to India. Missing a lot of organized processes that can cause issue later down the line. They do not listen to lower level worker when they are warned about this that are going on that can harm the company.

    I have been working at United States Steel full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Projects require interfacing with multiple departments throughout the corporation. Hardworking employees who are willing to lend a hand to help achieve a desired result. Fair compensation and benefits.

    Cons

    Lots of red tape to cut through for both menial and substantial tasks. More time spent navigating around self inflicted red tape than problem solving. Career development is lacking.

    Advice to Management

    An increased risk threshold is going to be necessary in order to allow the company to become prosperous in the future.

    The pay is good, but a lot of your work life will depend on who your boss is. If your lucky and you get a great one life is good

    The steel industry is volatile right now and has been for the last few years, This makes your working environment very uncertain.

    Pros

    United states steel had awesome insurance company paid good advancement in pay .training is very extensive for exert position available

    Cons

    The only downside to working at United states steel is it's hot and dirty but it is a steel mill and sometimes very physical work

    Pros

    Like any company going through a transition there are many negatives and positives. However, USS is turning the corner.

    Cons

    Steel is a tough business, and producers are always at the mercy of the market.

    Advice to Management

    Focus more on employee development in order to retain the employees that remain after layoffs in 2015-16.

    united states steel offers great pay and great benefits. Long standing company, cares for the environment. Many good people as well

    They hire a lot of stupid people, long hours, terrible ceo, very dirty dusty environment, hot, stinky, union is weak
