I worked at United Stationers full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Awesome benefits, well informed employees, company meetings to inform company's direction and training is accurate to jobs, advancement opportunities within the company are very much attainable

    Cons

Hours not consistent due to the fact that they ship around the start of school and then hours slow down significantly once that period has ended

    Advice to Management

Not much in advice, they cover all their bases, cross the "T's" and dot the "I's"

    Pros

This is a great company to work for and I'd recommend it to a friend looking for a job. Need... twenty .....words .....there!

I worked at United Stationers full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

United Stationers provide a work life balance for there in employees and believe in the overall health and well being of its employees.

    Cons

The only pros to working for United Stationers is that if you work anywhere besides HQ in Deerfield, there is not much room for advancement or growth within the company if you are already in management.

    Advice to Management

Management was fair over all. Would suggest adding more training and opportunities for lateral and promotional moves within the company other than HQ office.
