I have been working at United Subcontractors full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great people good culture fun industry but make sure territory is adequate size. Everyone is supportive and helpful, very friendly. Pay is ok.

    Cons

Pay is just ok. If you are driving a lot you will have less time to chase new business. Technology is very dated with old laptops and cell phones. No company car so lots of miles on personal car

I worked at United Subcontractors full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Autonomy, pay, benefits. Good people in most positions

    Cons

Work life balance, lack of training, Eckes

    Advice to Management

Stop changing reporting structure. It only advocates that eventually some one new to the company wont play nice. It is also difficult to form a model to follow when Region staff have different philosophy and 5 changes in three years never allows the base line to reset,

Close this branch or find new leadership

I have been working at United Subcontractors full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good overall company with benefits, OK salary

    Cons

React only as an accounting company, not a construction company as this market requires.

    Advice to Management

Better management choices on lower level, Hire General mangers with a back ground in field. Lower the amount of Vice Presidents making the company very top heavy. Provide better percentage base salaries in lieu of primary source of income to be commission bases.
