I worked at United Surgical Partners full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Top leadership drives the company's mission statement and core values, and supports every level of employee. Compensation is fair and competitive. Employee input is solicited and used for areas of improvement.

    Cons

May not be fast enough growth track for some. Very little turnover in top positions (this is a pro as well).

    Advice to Management

Keep on doing what you are doing. It works!

    Pros

Enjoyed what I did very much and have worked with some very good and competent people. Have also had some very competent Supervisors and then some not so good.

    Cons

I do not feel that USPI was consistent in the treatment of their employees both wage and recognition wise. For a corporation the size of USPI, their should be a general range of pay for the individual job titles, and it should be based on education and experience, and the general chain of command and responsibility - rather than "favoritism" that is very prevalent throughout USPI. There are definitely top heavy with middle management.

    Advice to Management

Remember that you get what you pay for and that it is human nature that one will work hard and with pride when they are treated with respect and truly feel appreciated and recognized for their hard work.

    Pros

USPI values their employees. They have the best benefits package I've seen at any job and they are very transparent with even lower level employees. When I worked there, the CEO would address the employees quarterly with a summary of the quarter and discuss future plans.

I loved my boss there and thought she was great to work for and with. I cried when I turned in my resignation notice.

    Cons

    Nothing to complain about there
