I have been working at United Therapeutics full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

United Therapeutics is a great company with a unique atmosphere. Everyone is welcoming and the job is exciting. Also the benefits are off the charts (in a good way)! Lastly, the nature of the work is altruistic. This makes me excited to show up to work every day.

    Cons

The job titles are a little weird.

    Pros

My department was a joy to work with.

    Cons

As an intern, I saw mostly the inside of my own department, which I have no complaints about.

I worked at United Therapeutics (Less than a year)

    Pros

Hours were relatively flexible, everyone seemed to be very happy working there. Coffee bar and lunch area were great additions to the experience.

    Cons

I really cant think of anything significant, overall had a really good experience working at United Therapeutics but wish there were more opportunities to continue working there

    Cons

Lack a defined career track can potentially be a negative. I have seen where this strategy is great when here is a good relationship w manager but if there isn't can be limiting.Varies for individuals
Salary increase for promotions is small

    Advice to Management

Lots of projects in addition to day-to-day activities, everyone works very hard

I have been working at United Therapeutics full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

fast pace, good benefits, great incentives, hard work is recognized - really interesting science, work is meaningful i.e. there is a clear link to improving the lives of others - really great amenities (on site gym, child care, fun activities for employees) & other services.

    Cons

can be an imbalance in workload between functions - some seem less strained than others/expectations seem imbalanced sometimes; headcount tight

    Advice to Management

continue to work on improving communication across the company

    Pros

The "Google" or "Apple" of the pharma/biotech industry where they celebrate the diversity of perspectives and champion creative thinking to achieve goals.

    Cons

There are a few rotten apples in management. Not a true representation of United Therapeutics vision, mission, or values.

I have been working at United Therapeutics (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Besides the great compensation packages and flexible work schedules that account for work-life-family balance, UT is a unique work environment that encourages out of the box thinking, working and participating across functional groups, and ideas from every level even entry level are considered and. If you are a life-long learner with an interest in growing professionally across the board this is the best place to be.

    Cons

I honestly can't think of any legitimate cons... The company runs lean so you will have to work--you will not be able to sit behind a desk and delegate everything.
