I have been working at UnitedHealth Group full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

They offer the opportunity to telecommute. Good amount of vacation and flexible hours. Opportunities to work in different positions over the course of ones career.

    Cons

There's inconsistencies with regards to pay and workplace practices across various organizations. Business required overtime can become tedious as it occurs most of the year.

    Advice to Management

Need closer eyes on middle management.

    Pros

Company as a whole has a good program for working from home.

    Cons

Terrible health insurance benefit!! Especially for a health insurance company!
Site leadership was in turmoil for the last three years - leadership is terrible in the mean time.
Work/life balance is non-existent with many people being forced to work 50-60 hrs each/every week.
Management has favorites. Very hard to transfer out of Transactions area - with its bad reputation.

    Advice to Management

Make up your mind about the location. Either commit to it and hire a site leader or eliminate it and move on....

I have been working at UnitedHealth Group full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

This company is a start up organization and they are building a differentiated business in the field of health care revenue cycle management. They have strong plans, good leaders and a vision that will truly dive something special in this industry.

    Cons

They are young and evolving. As with any organization at this stage, change is constant. Must be ready and be excited for a dynamic environment. If you don't like fast pace and change, this may not be comfortable.
