Support from the rest of the team and the directors.

I have been working at Uniting Ambition full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Great training/induction program. Constant incentives to keep staff motivated (include back-office staff also). Management is eager for their staff to progress and develop. Enthusiastic team, fun working environment. Good benefits e.g. gym membership and healthcare.

    Cons

One of the cons is you're required to work slightly longer hours.

I worked at Uniting Ambition full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    - nice people who work there - in theory bonus structures are good - good incentives - good staff social events

    Cons

    - extreme hierarchy in place. It is very much management vs Workers - no opportunities for personal development - management are all take take take and no give - no care for personal situations - sold the dream only for it to be unattainable - training is non existent - made to feel like a failure for asking for help - management don’t care about you unless you make them money - expected to work 12 hour... days and looked down upon for only working contracted hours

    Advice to Management

‘The average turnover is 4 years,’ this may be true but only because there are two extreme ends of the spectrum: those who have been there for years on end, and those who only stay for a few months. If time and attention was invested in the new, inexperienced employees, then you wouldn’t have to totally rely on your long standing employees and would have a United and effective workforce instead of existing... employees constantly having to train new members of staff up, only for them to leave a few months later. It all boils down to job satisfaction, and in my opinion, that stems from feeling appreciated and respected at work. Which, unfortunately, I did not experience whilst working at uniting ambition.

I worked at Uniting Ambition full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    - Good bonus and commission to be made, but targets can be tough to reach. - Lots of company events

    Cons

    - Poor HR - Made to work crazy hours and made to feel bad if you need to leave work on time and dont work overtime - Micro-management - Management dont care about personal situation/home life - Cowboy recruitment agency - managers only acknowledge you if you're the top biller - Made to feel guilty for candidates withdrawing from the interview process

    Advice to Management

Look after your staff and you might get people staying around. Give better flexible working hours and treat people as humans...not just slave drivers to make more money for the company.

I have been working at Uniting Ambition full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

This is a forward thinking business with a lot of great growth opportunities. I personally have seen my role develop through promotions and growing responsibility. I came into the organisation with no experience and was able to progress into a senior role quickly. The business is full of energy and is always striving to be bigger and better, but making sure it sticks to its core values. One of the great things... about UA is that you can enter with limited knowledge about recruitment and develop your career as a professional through training and scale up the business through your own hard work.

    Cons

The recruitment sector is tough, so you have to be prepared to take the rough with the smooth. There is a lot of change within the industry and you need to accept that things could change frequently.

    Advice to Management

    Flexibility of working hours.
