I have been working at Unity Health Care full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Co workers are great, enjoy the patients

    Cons

The people that work in Cooperate are the only ones seeing real money, they have alot of red tape wrap around them and no one else can infiltrate unless you are a family member or having sex with one of the male higher ups, but i'm looking for a new job anyways..

    Advice to Management

Get rid of all current upper management including CEO who acts like he sees nothing through those thick glasses they are the reason why the company will be folding in the next 3 years. We already in a Financial Crisis. Replace all Current Health Center Directors with honest hard working people that relates to you on a human level not so text book, Life throws curve balls daily, we do have a life outside of work.

    Pros

    benefits
    full time/ part time
    close to bus/metro
    friendly staff-besides management
great starting point for new MA's, Nurses, or Doctors.
Gain good experience working in different specialties
work hand in hand with doctors, nurses, and social workers.

    Cons

    disrespectful management
    unorganized
    unable to grow
    high turn over rate
    management has favorite employers
no raises (you'd have to work there 3 years to see a small difference in money)
Put to much work on one person, for every position there is to much workload than should be for the pay.
to many changes to procedures and policies (from when I started almost everything has changed or switched)

    Advice to Management

I would say that they need to communicate better and treat people like an adult and not like someone's child.

    Pros

There is no work & life balance. Salaried employees get paid for 37.5 hrs a week but must (mandatory) work 50-60 hrs a week. If you work 7.5 hours a day you get reprimanded. No one cares. Upper management is too busy trying to keep their jobs so they turn the other way.

    Cons

It's a stepping stone until something better comes along.

    Advice to Management

Work & life balance is a must. Salaried employees should only work 37.5 a week if that is what they are paid for. Live by your motto "We treat you well"
