I worked at Unity Health System part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Excellent coworkers and organized management. Everyone works as a team. Training was well executed.

    Cons

The highest raise was minimal and just enough to keep up with inflation.

    Advice to Management

Try and have a few extra people on hand in preparation for holidays, time off, and sick days. It was very hard to take off and even harder to try and cover for employees during such times.

    Pros

    Cons

At the satellite clinic where I worked there was an insane amount of work given to nurses and mental health counselors. Disability issues were not handled well by that particular management team

    Advice to Management

Pay more attention to taking care of your staff

    Pros

flexible hours, good benefits even for part time, free parking a huge plus

    Cons

Major favoritism among Managers, clique like behavior tolerated and encouraged...recent merger has killed our caring culture...now run like a business selling a product rather than caring for the patient...bottom line attitude now....money above all else...faster..quicker..with no regard to quality

    Advice to Management

Makes no difference how hard they work, merger will replace you...lost a great manager

I have been working at Unity Health System part-time

    Pros

None, none and none. I used to love coming to work now anymore horrible management. Park ridge is a country club and St.Mary is a shack!!!! They won't invest in St.Mary because it is located in the city!! The staff from Park Ridge was caste out and dump at St.Mary they don't like being there there you can see it they don't like the patients or staff!!

    Cons

Walk In Care Center is a joke management there is horrible they talked down and bully their employees. If you don't do what they want they will write you up and threatening your job. HR is a joke because they are friends and will take their side, staff have no one in their corner for support.

    Advice to Management

Step down let new eyes in you are ruining the department and staff. St.Mary is not Park Ridge you people from there have ruin the spirit of the St.Mary Campus because you don't care!!!!

I worked at Unity Health System full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Helping the clients and getting to know them is the best part of this job. It is so fulfilling when you think you have helped somebody.

    Cons

The pay is so low for the work they make you do. The paperwork is out of control!!! Everything is very political and the promises made by management are never upheld.

    Advice to Management

Be involved with your employees. Don't go to Miami or New York City every other week. Don't bully people.
