    Pros

The ability to keep a part time position with the option to work over if demand is there. Coworkers are extremely friendly and the atmosphere overall was a huge morale booster!

    Cons

Unfortunately, trainers and management are extremely narrow minded in their thinking. If a question is asked outside the realm of the handy dandy notebook they are left scrambling. They have a hard time accepting, clarifying, and disseminating information.

    Advice to Management

Step out of the cocoon, there's a wealth of information out there, listen to your employees and find the answers! Sometimes it takes a little extra work, but it's out there!

I worked at Univera Healthcare full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great working environment, flexibility with schedule since I was a single mother and going to school. Would work there again.

    Cons

Politics played with some of the lines can be a bit depressing.

I have been working at Univera Healthcare full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Free health insurance. Laid back. Seems like a lot of opportunities for growth.

    Cons

Direct supervisors are a joke. No mgt skills. Terrible direct leadership.

    Advice to Management

Can't just promote anyone with a pulse.

    Pros

Great people. Good working environment and culture. If you are hard working and have specific skills, they will see that you are maximizing your potential.

Great benefits and holiday time off.

    Cons

The pay is not that great, but the benefits and people sort of out weigh the lack of compensation.

I worked at Univera Healthcare full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Allowed to help members as you see fit, no strenuous guidelines placed on you. Allowed to help the member and take the time necessary to do so.

    Cons

NONE, NOT ONE...has fitness facility and chef staffed cafeteria, get a omelet made fresh for you in the morning before your shift...awesome!

    Advice to Management

Allow for more expansion within the company and let your staff's opinions count.

I worked at Univera Healthcare full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Friendly, concerned and helpful co-workers. Some flexibility in scheduling. Casual dress most days.

    Cons

No bonus, low pay. Potential for burn out as you have to have a thick skin to listen to people's serious health issues day in and day out and still provide comfort and assurance. No promotion path.

    Advice to Management

Turnover would be stemmed if they'd raise the base pay for the call center associates. Medicare is the profitable side of the business and could afford to increase the compensation for the people on the front lines with the members. Better soft skill and call handling development should be invested in as well.
