    Operations Manager

    Pros

It was a good stepping stone and helped me transition career fields.

    Cons

I have read a lot of the reviews and the majority of the cons seem correct. Poor work/life balance(I was often working 70+ hours a week) Low Pay Salaried employees don't often get raises(the gentleman above me in the company went 5 years before finally getting a $3,000 annual raise) Corporate is non responsive with everything but most importantly any payroll issue that needs resolving. The problem right now with Universal is that they are growing faster than they can keep up. This effects the local branches and the corporate payroll department in very noticeable ways. There were constant problems trying to get direct deposits set up and JOTAs were almost never processed in time. Local managers are spread so thin that customer service is almost non-existent. My division, after I left, lost two major contracts. My client services manager was not visiting the way he should and was not getting clients what they needed. I covered for this the best I could but after I left I guess he continued to not provide. Once the company(if it ever does) catch up with how much it has grown, it probably would not be a bad place to have a nice, lengthy career with.

Good for a start but not suggest staying for long

    Pros

Friendly atmosphere, have some decent perks in the benefits department (matched 401k, holidays, medical) Good job to get your foot into management, but not worth it sticking around

    Cons

Too few managers for too many employees, managers are very overworked, as a result the mistakes with schedules and pay happen constantly. Opportunities for growth are promised, but the there is no evidence of them

    Pros

You will gain tons of experience.

    Cons

Wages are to low for the amount of work being done. No annual reviews or increases, no additional training is offered, and severe lack of leadership by senior management.
