I have been working at Universal Scrap Metals full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

The company’s current managers are the best I have seen since I’ve been here. They care about the customers, employees and the company. It’s great to work here.

    Cons

It feels like we’re running out of space at our headquarters. The new facility being built will help with this.

I have been working at Universal Scrap Metals full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

This has been an excellent place to work with opportunities for staff to advance. The salary and benefits are better than other places I worked at. The owner has bought other companies and started new businesses since I’ve been here, giving staff a lot of opportunities to advance. After a few years I was promoted to a management position, and I have seen other staff also promoted in the different divisions. The owner and other managers have given me a lot of support, making it possible for me to succeed. I disagree with the last review. If someone is this unhappy for a few years, why are they still with the same company? The owner and managers have always been available for me to share my thoughts with them. I agree with the 1st review. “Great Company Culture” The owner knows what he wants and is steering us in the right direction.

    Cons

There should be more communication between the divisions. As the company has grown, greater communication is needed and more often.
