I have been working at University Settlement full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Work hours from 8-4 with 1 hour lunch. Not a hectic environment and no one comes to your classroom to pressure. Supportive Directors. Most coworkers are nice. Health insurance.

    Cons

Low salary. If you stuck with bad team you won’t last for long.

    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at University Settlement full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

some of the staff are caring.

    Cons

New management are not professionals, treating staff very poorly, extremely stressful environment, lots of staff leaving and/or looking to get out. Many complaints from parents that are not been heard by upper management. The good caring staff are leaving and being replaced by staff not reflecting of the neighborhood, very sad, this program used to be a great place for families and children but no longer the case. Program out of compliance because they can fill out classrooms as before because parents are leaving and going to better managed day care sites.

    Advice to Management

If you can't listen to the families that make your program is time to leave and let someone else do a better job. You destroying the program.
