    I worked at University of Arizona part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    Some talented professors doing good research.

    Cons

    No emphasis on teaching responsibilities. Whether you are a good or bad TA has no bearing on anything, including whether or not you continue to receive TAships. Often find out whether or not you even will be receiving a TA position (and pay and tuition waiver) a week before the start of that semester.
