Don't Work Here Unless You Absolutely Need To
Mar 28, 2023 - Resident Assistant (RA) in Fayetteville, ARRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
On-campus housing paid for, meal plan paid for, small stipend, ability to work desk shifts for extra cash.
Cons
There is a high turnover rate because they know someone will always be enticed by their incentives but they offer nothing in return except for bad management. They will treat you like a full-time worker and always expect you be ready to do something even at 3am on a Tuesday night. There really is hardly any time when you feel relaxed. The people who run upper housing management are soulless and will do anything to get you to work more hours with no extra pay or benefits. Don't get roped into "volunteering" for more activities you won't be compensated for.

Feb 28, 2023 - Administrative Specialist III in Fayetteville, ARRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The Admin Specialist lll position definitely should be a stepping stone to higher paying jobs within the university. It’s much easier to get a job here if you already have a job here because there’s so much nuance and institutional knowledge that one needs to succeed here in most positions.

Low pay, major discrepancy in job duties depending on what unit/department you’re in
