I worked at University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Excellent staff, study rooms, and clean bathrooms

    Cons

Employees and students can get a little loud and disruptive.

    Advice to Management

Market yourselves to the community. Apply for more funding and build a bigger facility. As the School (UAPB) continue to grow, so must its infrastructure, especially its library! All the faculty and staff should be able to fit in the library at one time.

    Negative Outlook

I worked at University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

most students are great, a few colleagues are nice & can be trusted, campus is good small setting despite not being in best city, not bad benefits.

    Cons

many backstabbing colleagues, cliquish (so watch out), employee rights don't count (papertrail, record often to protect yourself not that it'll likely help...)

    Advice to Management

Listen & treat ALL employees fairly not just your friends. Yes this is a school but the immature behavior of employees (including management levels) is no role modelling for students. Btw students being nice because they want make sure they graduate, most do not like being there for obvious & other reasons. Also the actions of "getting rid" of good employees because of backhanded behavior leaves those people losing everything not just their jobs. So on behalf of us thanks for the ill mannered treatment shown. In sum the behavior that goes on on this campus is what you'd expect from children who don't know better not jealous adults. Coworkers who treat others like dirt should be held accountable not promoted.
