    Pros

Full time job with a good salary and friendly lab members to work with...

    Cons

Monotonous work or experiment, need something innovative..

    Advice to Management

Lunch break timing should be increased from 15 minutes to 30 minutes. No time to eat lunch, hectic schedule...

I worked at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Great benefits, good networking opportunity

    Cons

The new management system was poorly executed and dissolved existing teams into groups under new managers that were unfamiliar to most departments.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your people - if employees are unhappy, they either have a lower work ethic or they leave. You cannot force a square into a circle.

I worked at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I enjoyed my co-workers, they were very helpful in training
I enjoyed helping patients, hearing their stories
Nurses and doctors were nice to me, there needs to be mutual respect
The hospital instills a culture across all department that promotes helping whomever steps into the hospital

    Cons

Work gets boring, and repetitive, not challenging
Management doesn't really motivate their employees
    Small growth opportunity
    Low pay

    Advice to Management

Motivate your employees day in and day out. Let them know their job matters. There isn't much to the job, a lot of people who work there don't stay long or depend on it for a living. I just think motivating your employees is important. Team outings, etc.

    Pros

There are many departments to work within at any level! It is centrally located in the city although parking can be a major challenge. Everything you need is on-site from health services to lunch spots, workout facilities, library and more! Some of the best of the best doctors train and stay at UAMS.

    Cons

Parking. Fair compensation and promotions are questionable

    Advice to Management

Employees are not comfortable going to HR/related departments when issues surface due to lack of discretion and how things are actioned.
