I worked at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Great benefits, good networking opportunity

    Cons

The new management system was poorly executed and dissolved existing teams into groups under new managers that were unfamiliar to most departments.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your people - if employees are unhappy, they either have a lower work ethic or they leave. You cannot force a square into a circle.

I worked at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences full-time

    Pros

I worked for the STRIVE program at UAMS, primarily with Headstart kids as a therapist. Management was on point and very supportive of the needs of mental health professionals across the board.

    Cons

Case load and documentation requirements were rough, however, that is to be expected in almost and mental health agency.

    Advice to Management

Better support during the summer program would have been helpful as well as more thorough training using documentation software and the laptops provided.
