    I worked at University of British Columbia part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    They were always very understanding of personal events occurring and helped work around my schedule as a student. The pay was also pretty high for a student working part time.

    Cons

    I didnt have any issues with my workplace or the people working there. Everything went very smoothly

    Advice to Management

    I dont have any advice to management. My manager was very kind and treated our team with a lot of respect.

    Flexible schedule. Able to work on interesting projects. Free professor consultation. Capable of learning anything you like.

    Cons

    Pay is not competitive with industry. My hardware isn't top knotch. A lot of work is done on personal computers.

    Pros

    good facilities such as offices, modern labs, socializing areas, and outdoor area. Motivating and inspiring workplace, with excellent research team working on relevant projects

    Cons

    very costly to live on campus near the workplace. Very limited time for vacation due to extremely heavy loads of demanded work both experimental and theoretical. Low salary for the duties attributed to the position

    Pros

    The people in the office are very friendly and it is a very positive atmosphere. They are very encouraging and supportive to help you learn.

    Cons

    In the summer, the guests may have unrealistic expectations which places you in very difficult positions where you have to balance being flexible with the guest as well as be firm and uphold the policies of the department.

    Ensure that all advertisements explain the conditions clearly.

    Well-established university, reasonable pay, stunning view, friendly community

    Living expense is going up. Campus is small not too many entertainment facilities...
